Storm Window Measurements

When ordering, be certain to specify the type of mount you plan to use.

For Western Mount width, measure the distance between points A and B. The unit will be secured to the outside of the blind stop. Measure right to the end. The manufacturer will deduct 1/4 inch to allow 1/8 inch play on each side. For this reason, you should make certain your rabbet is at least 1 inch wide.
For Eastern Mount width, you still measure between points A and B, but the frame will be mounted at points C and D. When you specify Eastern Mount, the manufacturer will add 1 3/4 inches to allow mounting to the Brick Mold frame.
For Western Mount height, measure the distance between points E and F. The unit will be secured to the outside of the rabbet on top.
For Eastern Mount height, you still measure the distance between points E and F, but the top of the unit is secured at point G
NOTE: Because all of our windows are ordered, and custom made to your specifications, we can only accept returns if the unit is defective. We cannot accept returns if the wrong size was ordered. Furthermore, the manufacturers warranty is defendant upon proper installation.
